I'm running a Holmes-based game using B4 The Lost City. Holmes is pretty darn close to OD&D (1974). I'm loving it, too.

no, it isn't!

labyrinth lord is a great tool, but it's moldvay/cook-d&d - nearly as far from od&d as mentzer's boxed sets.

Thread resurrection...

Just an update to the gaming status from my post of March last year when we kicked off X1. We're towards the end of X5 as planned. A little ahead of where we thought. Refer sig below....
