I just picked up a copy of Bard's Gate on eBay for a very cheap $7.00. I can't wait to have a read. I had no idea Shane was a contibuting author. That will make it all the more interesting. Now... where am I going to drop this down in the Wilderlands? Tarsh and Warwick have been suggested before. Already have a city for Warwick. I'll have to take a second look at Tarsh. However, Tarsh may be an Eostros Games project.

Well what magic items did you like |
I just read through your entries, Shane, and find all of them to be very well written. In fact, the whole book has a very streamlined feeling to it - you really can't notice that there were several writers involved. Did you have strict guidelines for writing these entries or did they leave you all your creative freedom?
My favorite magic item from the book is the cube of illusion which I've immediately snatched for use in my other campaigns. The ring of master thievery is also very cool, as is the deck of prophecy. I also like Asleif's traveler's tome and Quynell because these two are very personalized magic items - something that I always like a lot. |

Only in so far as how some of the d20 information should be presented in the descriptions. Was given a large list and general idea of each area, then just went to town

Cube of illusion was mine, as were the last two. For the rest: The Gem (you'll know), Non-Deceiver, Pious, Tusks of Wile, Cloak of the Hound, Death Wand Mace, and the Headband.

The final result is excellent indeed. Was that your first appearance as a writer or were there other products that you're involved in?

You should see my name in some 'Special Thanks' or play testers. It was my first project you could say, as it was written 5-6 years ago, so my first appearance as a writer. I've contributed some ideas, thus the special thanks, that came out before Bard's Gate though. Also if things go good it won't be my last time you see my name in print..but you wont hear anything more about that from me

I am still unsure if I will buy it, but most confess that Clarence good opinion has watered my mouth...
I'd use the town as part Dave Arneson's *Great Kingdom*, maybe as a province city at the Thonian Rand.
(Basically, on the southern border of the extended maps shown in DA3.) |

Do you happen to have a link at hand? - I checked ebay, but didn't find it...
*I apologize to Plaag - it's not that I wouldn't appreciate your work, it's just that I am just a poor student who cannot spend royalties on leisure stuff.
Actually, one reason why I became so interested in oldschool stuff is that the books go for much less than 3e products:
I mean, the new core books from WotC make 100 € if one buys them all at once. The complete mint 1e set goes for 20 € at ebay, if one is lucky...* |

No need to apologize, we all want things that we can not afford currently.
