I am just curious as I do not live in Germany, this band Eloy is from there, and I do own 8 c.d's. I was just wondering if they are still popular. They were a 70's n 80's band.

i'd say they're 99% forgotten... a decade (okay 15 years) ago i used to listen to this kind of rock music, but i had no clue they were from germany.

Certainly interesting... Though as to German Epic Metal, I like Blind Guardian most... Yeah, nerd here, and proud of it...

I like Blind Guardian too! I have 4 cd's and I really like their version of Queen's "Spread your wings". As well did they not do some songs with a band called Iced Earth? I think they did at least one song by Cream "White Room". I'm a big music fan as I do play bass and have around 800+ c.d's. Isn't there also some other Metal bands dfrom Europe like Manowar, Kingdome Come. Im at work, tonight I'll put out a list of Metal bands I like!!!!!

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. blind guardian was the first metal band i liked in the end-eighties. nowadays i can't stand the singer's voice for more than a minute. it's not as terrible as "helloween"'s, singer (another ooooooooooold german metal band), but quite close.

of course it was very funny in the nineties to call "blind guardian" "blinde gardinen" - which translates roughly as "blind curtains". verrrrrrrrrry funny! verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry!

I still have to get their newest album, yet I am not sure if I am in the mood for that kind of music at the moment...

The second Demons&Wizards album (BG/Iced Earth Joint Venture) was pretty crappy, as far as I remember...

ISnt Demons and Wizards also a Uriah Heep album or song as well?
