From the Vampire thread:
[quote="Rafael"]The timeline by David Ross says the following about Fant:
Quote:

Spring Invasion begins in earnest. Glendower, Wizard of Wood (with Pixie allies), Dwarves of the Mines are first to support Earl of Vestfold. ...

This reminded me of something I have always been curious about. What exactly does it constitue to be the "Wizard of the Wood"?

I have always imagined it to be something more than just a title. The fact that the Wizard in the quote from David Ross uses Pixie allies is interesting. Does this title suggest some alliance with Fey and other sylvan creatures? Sort of like an arcane druid?

Interesting...

Pete Gaylord played the original Wizard of the Wood. The "Wood" was a forest area just east of the city of Blackmoor where the wizard resided. He was the first wizard/magic user. I can't really give you any details, beyond what has already been published. Pete is one of the people Bob Meyer has been trying to get to post information about their early D&D/Blackmoor experiences.
