I went to Oakland the other day to pick up a copy of Mythus: Dangerous Journeys by Gary Gygax. Was always curious about that game. Anyway, I decided to head to Berkley and check the other game store there, a little place called Green Griffon Games. Saw some older stuff, but nothing I wanted.

I started talking to the clerk there, and as we are talking, I notice a little blue box. It looks like a miniature version of Cook D&D Expert. I ask what it is and he shows it to me. That's what it was. Bought it for $10. It even had a mini version of X1. Now, if I can just find the Mini version of Moldvay Basic...

Kewl. Those miniatures are getting hard to find and are often pricey on eBay.

Yeah, I've got one of those in shrink wrap. I kind of hate myself for leaving it wrapped, but when I've got the books in larger format anyway, why would I need to open it?

I have been looking to add to my Basic and Expert Mod collections and have figured out a few cool places to look. No luck on the Mods lately, but finding the mini book made my day. I just wasn't expecting it. The search continues.

Had another cool find at a game store. Was picking through some old books to get three Tokein Quest and three Steven Jackson's Sorcery game books when I found Joshuan's Almanac, a book of facts on Mystara. I love popping into these places that still sell the old stuff because you never know what you're gonna find.

Oh, how do I envy you Americans... Here in Germany, all the nice finds have been harvested long ago... I can consider myself lucky for finding *old* Ravenloft material from White Wolf at my gaming store...

Now, I was lucky to get a copy of Necromancer's Barakus for a lot less money than I had thought on ebay today! w00t!
